After the second rain

The Imli tree is completely green
And tidy trifoliate flowers, petals streaked
With pink chevrons, cover the leaves.
Dragonflies flit about along with black drones
Which buzz around the tamarind tree.
The birds are more voluble and even the cicadas
Can be heard in the background.
The grass is already green again
Though this is only the second rains.
